Copy photograph from an original taken by Captain Edward K Deeming, 15th/19th King’s Royal Hussars. Accompanying note provides caption, ‘ACROSS THE RIVER ELBE AND THE GERMAN SURRENDER, 3 May 1945: And the Baron (Major the Lord Rathdonnell) doesn’t know either.’ From a collection of 74 copy photographs taken during World War Two, North West Europe (1944-1945).
