Description
Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 21 Dec 1854. Announcing the arrival of their winter clothing, and describing his duties in conveying stores to the infantry at Sevastopol. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
