Manuscript letter, Dec 1854 to Mar 1856. Written from Portsmouth and Camp before Sevastopol from Richard Morgan, a private in an unidentified regiment, to his brother. Morgan discusses the progress of the campaign, living conditions, the soldiers' views of the Russians, and the problems of his love life. Associated with the Siege of Sevastopol, Crimean War (1854-1856).
