Description
Talwar (or Tulwar) sword, nd. With scabbard. Belonged to Lt Col George Allen Preston. Single edged, heavy blade, reminiscent of Turkish kilij form. Two semi-circular marks on blade, and another under langet. Talwar type of steel on hilt with knuckle guard. Associated with 40th Pathans and 6th Gurkha Rifles, Tibet (1903-1904) and World War One (1914-1918).
