From a group of medals awarded to and associated with Lt Arthur Murray Thorne, 1st Royal Dragoons, 108th Infantry and 2/61st King George's Own Pioneers 1914-1920 (c).

Obverse in relief a French eagle standing upon a tablet inscribed, '105'.
Above the eagle the title, 'THE ROYAL DRAGOONS'.
Reverse engraved within a relief, 'INTER SQUADRON LEAGUE/ FOOTBALL/ COMPETITION/ NORTHERN FRANCE/ 1916/ WON BY/ B. SQUADRON/ PTE.. A. M. THORNE'.

Lt Thorne was commissioned 8 Jul 1917, 2/Lt Indian Army Reserve of Officers, attached 108th Infantry; 8th Jul 1918; Lieutenant, 2nd Bn 61st King George's Own Pioneers. Released 1920.
