Description

Shall brothers be. Propaganda booklet produced by the Chinese People’s Committee for World Peace in 1952, giving positive accounts by American and British prisoners of war of their treatment by the Chinese and North Koreans. Its title is derived from a line in the Robert Burns poem ‘A man's a man for a' that’ (also known by its first line, ‘Is there for honest poverty’). Inscribed to Capt E M de Quick. From a collection of printed material chiefly relating to prisoners of war during the Korean War (1950-1953), compiled by Gen Sir Anthony Farrar-Hockley.
