Newspaper: The Morning Post. Pages 5 and 6 from 11 Feb 1901. Contains reports concerning the Chinese Crisis and the relief of Mafeking, including a list of soldiers decorated in the action. From a bound scrapbook compiled by Lt Col Hugh D Lawrence, East Surrey Regiment, 1845 (c) to 1913 (c). Most of the military material relates to Lawrence’s involvement in theatricals at Sandhurst and in India. In addition there are papers relating to social events and the Lawrence family.
