Description
Body armour cover, Multi-terrain pattern (MTP), for use with Osprey Mark 4, vest front, in service April 2010. Item in ‘The Black Bag’ holdall of clothing and equipment issued to soldiers deployed on operations. Associated with Afghanistan (2001-2014). Hard armour plates or soft armour fillers can be inserted into the inside pocket of the vest in an attempt to make armour less bulky and obstructive to movement. The vest includes rubber mouldings on the shoulders, designed to prevent rucksacks and weapons from slipping. The inside of the vest has a new ribbed material lining designed to improve breathability in hot climates.
