Two page manuscript letter from Lt. Heyworth Potter Lawrence Heyworth, 2nd Btn. North Staffordshire Regiment, to his sister Winnie Kennard.  It was written from Elandsfontein, South Africa, and is dated 27 November 1900. 
Heyworth, known as Lawrence, talks of how nothing exciting is going on and he mostly spends his time on guarding duties. He would like to try lion hunting.
From a collection of seven letters written during the Boer War by Lt. H P L Heyworth, 2nd Btn. North Staffordshire Regiment, to his sister Winnie, 1900-1902. Heyworth, later a Captain, was killed in action on 6th August 1915, during the Dardenelles Campaign.
