Three letters and two extracts of letters written to FM Lord Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan, Commander in Chief, 10 Jan-13 May 1855. The letters are from Mr Cunningham, the Vice-Consul at Galatz, reporting on the positions of the Austrian, Russian, and Turkish troops around Galatz. The two extracts of letters are from M Yeames, also at Galatz, who writes on the difficulties of invading Russia from the Danube. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
