Description
Allied Victory Medal of Maj Robert White Keown, Royal East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) Bronze, obverse shows the winged figure of 'Victory' with her left arm extended and holding a palm branch in her right hand, reverse has the words "THE GREAT / WAR FOR / CIVILISATION / 1914–1919" in four lines, all surrounded by a laurel wreath. Rim inscribed 'CAPT. R.W. KEOWN'. Suspended by a ring suspender from a rainbow ribbon with a bronze oak leaf to indicate Mention in Despatches. Medals court mounted on a bar with a Spink and Son Limited label to reverse.
