Manuscript letter from Capt O T Webber, Royal Engineers, written from Bloemfontein to his family in Kellyville, during the Boer War, 24 Feb 1901.
Capt Webber says that de Wet has lost much of his transport and his men have started to scatter to try and cross the flooded Orange river. He still fears though that it will take a while before the war is over.
