Ms letter to Andrew Caldwell from Guernsey, 10th December 1794. He assumes the letter his uncle wrote to Lord Besborough arrived too late for his application to be Aid de Camp. Conditions still poor, continual rain. He and his fellow officers are glad not to have been posted to the West Indies, Lord Burford sold out rather than go there with his regiment. Mentions the death of John Riall.
