Description
Letter from 23207 L/Cpl Frank Bentley, 2nd Bn Grenadier Guards, to his brother Cpl Arthur Bentley, Royal Army Medical Corps; written with the British Expeditionary Force, in France, 6 Jan 1917; Frank advises Arthur that he has been sent to a Rest Station with a foot infection and doubts that he will get home leave; Frank Bentley was killed in action at Gauche Wood, near Gouzeaucourt, 1 Dec 1917; his name appears on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.
