Description
Letter from Lt Henry Clifford of the Rifle Brigade to his father dated Fort Beaufort 7 Nov 1852. His company issued with new belts and clothing prior to joining the force marching on the Moshes country, north of the Orange River. Associated with the 8th Cape Frontier War (1850-1853). From a collection of letters to England from Captain Henry Clifford of the Rifle Brigade while serving in Cape Colony, 1848-1853.
