Manuscript letter, 16 Apr 1900. 11 Alexandra Terrace, Exmouth, Devon. From F W Randall (Charles’ uncle) to Charles’ mother. Thanking her for one of Charles’ letters containing details of blowing up the railway line near Bloemfontein. From a collection of 35 manuscript letters and other related papers, 1899-1900. Written by Lt J R E Charles, Royal Engineers whilst in South Africa. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
