Photograph of 16 members of Hospital Staff posing for the image at the Guards Depot in Caterham, 1911 (c). Most of the men are Royal Army Medical Corps, many with the red cross insignia visible on their right shoulder. They are wearing their tunics and forage caps. An RAMC officer wearing a universal pattern frock coat sits in the front row (third from the left) next to Surgeon Lt Col Philip Henry Whiston, who wears the more elaborate frock coat. They both have swords. There is also an Coldstream Guardsman in the centre of the back row. From an album of 212 photographs (including archives) compiled by or presented to Lt Col Wadham Heathcote Diggle, 1910-1912 (c). It includes many portraits, group portraits and other images, many taken at the Guards Depot in Caterham and Pirbright, plus images of parades, sports, dogs and horses.
