Description
Manuscript letter from Capt O T Webber, Royal Engineers, written from Bloemfontein to his family in Kellyville, during the Boer War, 16 Mar 1901. Capt Webber says that peace negotiations are continuing to fail and the British have decided to try systematic sweeps of large areas to flush out Boer soldiers from their hiding places. From a collection of letters and other papers from Capt Oswald Webber, Royal Engineers, to his family from 1895 to 1901. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
