Description
Letter to Lt Dugmore from Michael Moses from Masindi, 12 Jan 1898. Asks for directions and whether Dugmore has received his previous letters. Moses senses growing discontent and believes the men would like to be more active. Also worries that the lock on the Maxim has gone missing and hopes the men will not notice. From a collection of 116 letters and papers relating to Lt William Francis Brougham Radcliffe Dugmore (1868-1917) during the Uganda Mutiny, November 1896-January 1899. Collected by W Lloyd-Jones, author of ‘KAR: being an unofficial account of the origins and activities of the King’s African Rifles’, 1920s.
