Coloured souvenir postcard: ‘Waterloo, Entree de la ferme de Hougomont’, with a caption which says ‘From a visit to Waterloo with Max Earle, 1908’. Showing local men and women and a horse and cart standing outside the farm at Hougoumont, Belgium, where the last battle between Napoleon and Wellington took place. From an album of 77 photographs (including some archives and postcards) relating to the Grenadier Guards, 1894-1909 (c). Includes training at Frensham Camp, boxing matches, orders for King Edward VII’s Coronation and images from Staff College 1909, including a trip to the Franco-Prussian War battlefields in France.
