Letter: The changing scene in India. One of five typescript letters from Maj Gen Herbert Lawrence Hill, 9 and 13 Sep 1947. Maj Gen Hill discusses the violence surrounding the Punjab new boundary and the problems of Muslim refugees trying to reach Pakistan, and Hindu and Sikh refugees trying to reach India. Associated with 19th Hyderabad (Kumaon Regimenr) and India (1945-1948).
