Photograph of a Tochi Scout piquet on Shoran Algad during the hot weather, North West Frontier Province, 1931. The strategically crucial position of Shoran Algad, slightly to the South from Razmak, was the boundary between North and South Waziristan. From a photograph album of 171 photographs relating to Capt, later Brigadier, John R Booth's Indian Army service with the 4th Bn, 14th Punjab Regiment, during the 1930s. Associated with India, North West Frontier (1920-1937).
