Description
Bronze Commemorative Medallion 1914-18. Issued to the next of kin of William Goodyear. From a group of medals awarded to and associated with Pte William Harvey Goodyear, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). Inscribed in relief, 'WILLIAM GOODYEAR'. William Goodyear was discharged to the Reserve in 1908 and rejoined the Middlesex Regiment in 1914. He died on 26 January 1915, aged 32, of rheumatic fever, and is commemorated at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. Associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
