Ms notebook of 2/Lt David ‘Peter’ Piper containing diary entries covering daily life in Far East POW Camp Taiwan, April - July 1943, including camp conditions, rumours, meals, daily tasks, poetry, writings on Japanese history and culture and famous literary figures, such as Samuel Johnson. From a collection of papers of 2/Lt (later Sir), David Piper, 4th/9th Jat Regiment, 1940-1990; associated with World War Two, Far East and POW’s Far East.
