Description
Manuscript letter, dated 16 Feb 1901. Written by Pte Harry Thurston during his service in the Boer War with 2nd Bn King’s (Shropshire Light Infantry) to his friend Arthur from Belfast, Transvaal. He mentions the recent expedition of Gen Walker Kitchener on 11 Feb towards Dunstroom, where he was in ‘another tight corner’. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
