Letter from Lt Henry Clifford to his brother dated King Williams Town, 20 July 1848. He’s been ordered to join two companies marching to Colesberg, 500 miles away to fight the Boers. From a collection of letters to England from Captain Henry Clifford of the Rifle Brigade while serving in Cape Colony, 1848-1853.
