From a box containing papers divided up by a set of East-Light Index dividers (A to L), described on spine as ‘Personal Papers’.  The material consists exclusively of lists (and reports) of collections of papers and archive material either directly illustrative of, or highlighted to show relevance to, British military history from the end of the seventeenth century to the early twentieth centuries. 
HMC lists suggest the information was put together in the 1950s and 1960s.
