Description
Letter from Lord Panmure giving Queen Victoria's approval for FM Lord Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan to accept the Order of Medjidie from the Sultan of Turkey, 25 June 1855. With a congratulatory letter from the Sultan acknowledged by General Simpson as it was received after Raglan's death. From a collection of papers belonging FM Lord Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan, Commander in Chief, Crimean War (1854-1856).
