Description
Pouch belt plate, 52nd Sikhs (Frontier Force), 1907 (c) Hallmarked silver (1907) badge with the regimental number, ‘52’, within a quoit bearing the title, ‘Sikhs’, within a wreath with intertwined scrolls bearing battle honours, ‘Punjab’, ‘Afghanistan 1878-80’, ‘Ahmed Khel’ and ‘Kandahar 1880’; surmounted by a Tudor Crown; with a scroll below bearing the title, ‘Frontier Force’. Makers mark JRG & S for Gaunt and Sons, impressed above hallmark to reverse. Associated with 52nd Sikhs (FF) (1903-1922). From the J L Chapple Indian Army Collection.
