Group portrait photograph of the officers of the Grenadier Guards, taken on the 29th of June 1910. It possibly relates to the Review of the regiment by King George V. The 90 strong group pose for the image wearing ceremonial dress including bearskin caps and swords and are sitting or standing in five rows in front of trees. A key accompanies the image which names all of them as well as annotating 23 officers who were killed in the First World War (plus the death of Lt Edward WIlliam Brodie Collins Wood in 1912 is noted with a ‘D’ instead of a ‘K’). From an album of 59 photographs entitled: ‘The Regiment, 1910’. It includes images of the regiment’s involvement in the State Funeral of King Edward VII in May 1910, as well some portraits of officers and groups.
