Description
Manuscript letter from Lieutenant William Cowper Coles, 12th Light Dragoons. It is dated France, 9th October 1813, and sent to his uncle, Thomas Smith Barwell, at Millford Lodge, Lymington. Contains some bi-directional writing in part. From a collection of letters written by Lt W C Coles to his family, 1806-1817. Associated with the Peninsular War (1808-1814).
