Sent from Lt Gen Colin Campbell when a Lieutenant Colonel of the 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot in London, to his wife Polly Campbell in Edinburgh.
Letter tells her he is to go to Holland shortly with some Officers of the Guards and comforts her that the Continent will be better than the West Indies.
