Manuscript letter from Lieutenant William Cowper Coles, 40th (2nd Somerset) Regiment of Foot. It is dated Bandon (County Cork), 12th January 1808, and sent to his brother, John Coles, at Oxford University. From a collection of letters written by Lt W C Coles to his family, 1806-1817.
