One of thirty one manuscript letters and cards written by RSM Arthur George Harrington, London Rifle Brigade, between 28 Jul 1912 and 27 Aug 1914. Letters are chiefly to his wife, the ones of military interest chiefly relate to annual Territorial camps and manoeuvres attended by him mostly during the period 1912-1914 at Lulworth, Bisley and elsewhere and awaiting mobilisation for overseas service in 1914. From a collection of 180 documents and letters mostly written by RSM Arthur George Harrington, DCM, written to his family while with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps during the Siege and Relief of Ladysmith (1899-1900), Boer War (1899-1902) and whilst attached to the London Rifle Brigade from 1914 up to his death at the 2nd Battle of Ypres on 28 Apr 1915, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
