Description
Manuscript letter to Brig Gen Thomas Baker from Capt G T Pretyman, a member of Robert's staff, hoping that the troops Roberts was to dispatch would enable him to 'occupy the country as far as Kushi', 16 Sep 1879. From a collection of letters and papers received by Brig Gen Sir Thomas Durand Baker, July 1879 - October 1880. He was Director of Transport during the Kabul-Kandahar, March 1880. Associated with the 2nd Afghan War (1878-1880).
