Gathered by Lt Col George Allen Preston, while on the Tibet Expedition, 1904.
Single edged blade, with usual wavy lines of different coloured metal.
Circular iron guard with concave on blade side.
Wooden grip, covered with coarse fishskin.
Pommel cap of facetted iron with decorative copper.
White metal and brass inlay on the four facets of one half of cap.
Pommel cap surmounted with three splined rivet heads.
Associated with 40th Pathans and 6th Gurkha Rifles, Tibet (1903-1904).
