Description
Forage cap, pillbox, Garibaldi cap, possibly undress, Unidentified Yeomanry, worn Lt G S Smith and Mr Joseph Nelson, 1860 (c). Blue cloth, with a cap band of silver lace. Crown piped with scarlet cloth, and bearing in centre a silver netted button, encircled by two bands of silver lace, traced with silver Russia braid forming eyeloops. Associated with the Wars of Italian Unification (1848-1860).
