Description
Letter, 6 Dec 1915. One of circa 143 letters, 1913-1918 written by Capt Alexander F Wallace, a medical officer, attached A Coy, British South Africa Police, to his fiancée, Ethel (later his wife), World War One, East Africa (1914-1918). Wallace writes, ‘Well. Madame, you are a Dear - & I am longing for you. If I could catch hold of you just now, you wouldn’t get away for a long time. I have been sitting thinking what I would do!’
