Letter, 2 Jun 1813. Sent from J H Rigby of East Essex Militia at Porchester Castle to John Ambrose of Bedford Hall, Covent Garden. The East Essex Militia were responsible for guarding prisoners of war held at the castle's Forton Depot. Associated with Napoleonic Wars, Home Defence (1803-1815).
