Pouch belt fitting, 1895 (c)

Silver, hallmarked 'Birmingham 1884'.

Upon a circular plate with a foliate border, a lion's head fitting attached to which is a ring and a double chain, the other end of which is attached to a silver whistle decorated with a foliate design.
The whistle is retained in a socket with a clip fastening.
The socket has fluted sides and is decorated at top and base with a foliate design.
Screw fastening to belt.
