Pocket diary for Ernest Blaikley for 1919. Written in pencil when Blaikley was stationed in France, covers last weeks in France and return to London. Gives brief entries for each day, describing people met and activities. From a collection of diaries and other archive materials created Sgt Ernest Blaikley, 28th Bn London Regiment (Artist’s Rifles), 1885-1965. Blaikley worked as an artist selling work to ‘Scout’ and ‘Punch’ amongst other publications. Associated with World War One (1914-1918).
