Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 5 Mar 1855. Concerning the re-horsing of the cavalry, and the building of the railway. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
