Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 9 Mar 1855. Reporting the surrender of two Russian officers, and longing for the war to end. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
