Description
Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 16 Mar 1855. He was expecting a speedy end to the conflict, following the confirmation of the death of Czar Nicholas I. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
