Manuscript letter from Amelia Spencer at Brandon, Suffolk to Lt William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, at Barnette [?], Middlesex, 2 Dec 1792. The letter informs him of a disagreeable accident that occurred during her illness. A Mr Davis used Lee’s name to try and become her physician despite her wishes otherwise. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
