Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from camp near Balaklava, 19 Mar 1855. Describing horse races between British and French officers, and the multitude of spring flowers. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
