Stereoscopic card captioned: 14th Hussars leaving Maitland Camp to join Buller in the thick of hard fighting - S. Africa. From a box of 89 stereoscopic cards entitled, ‘South African War through the Stereoscope Pt 2 Vol 1’. Published by Underwood and Underwood and produced by Works and Sun Sculpture Studios, 1900 (c). A long line of soldiers leading horses along a road. Caption is translated in French, German, Spanish, Russian on the back of the card. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
