Manuscript letter from Thomas Butler in Turlough near Castlebar [?] to Lt William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, at Gen Harcourt's House, Portland Place, London, 12 Jan 1793. The letter informs him he is attempting to join the Army. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
