Manuscript letter from Amelia Spencer in Brandon, Suffolk to Capt William Lee, later Lieutenant Colonel, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons at the George Inn, Coventry, 10 Mar 1793. The letter informs him they are used very ill by him and tells him of their lack of money and destroyed reputation. Lee had accused Spencer of lying about letters sent beween a Miss Roberts and Lee, which Amelia refutes. Miss Roberts' letters to Lee appear in this collection and a relationship is very evident. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
