Mrs Jane Lane. Line engraving after an unknown artist, nd. Originally plate 70 in Edward Ward’s ‘A History of the Rebellion’, published by J Morphew, London, 1713. From a group of 81 numbered line engravings of Civil War and Protectorate figures by Michael van der Gucht after Sir Anthony van Dyck and others, nd. Associated with Battle of Worcester (1651), Scottish War (1650-1651). Lane was involved in Charles II’s escape after the Battle of Worcester.
